Sarah has worked as a Producer in varying capacities since 2005. She was co-producer of the Young Company in the inaugural year of the National Theatre of Scotland in 2006, going on to become Assistant Producer within the main organisation. This involved working on a number of main stage shows and touring with the first Scottish tour of Black Watch in 2007. Sarah was producer of Wee Stories Theatre from 2008-12, working on all scales of productions from small rural tours to middle and large scale tours of acclaimed productions including Arthur, the Story of a King; Treasure Island and The Emperor's New Kilt (NTS co-production). 

From 2012, Sarah was Programme and Projects Producer at Macrobert Arts Centre in Stirling. A member of the Senior Management team, Sarah was responsible for the co-ordination of the live programming across three venue spaces and the delivery of all Macrobert produced and co-produced shows, including Educating Ronnie (Utter/Macrobert co-production); Titus; The Polar Bears Go WIld (Macrobert/Fish & Game co-production). 

From 2014-16, she was attached to Cumbernauld Theatre as part of Creative Scotland’s Producer’s Project, mentoring an emerging Producer, Cat Tyre; undertaking a number of new productions and tours, and focusing on international touring to Brazil; China; Australia; Singapore and Canada.

Scottish Theatre Producers was borne out of this project, and Sarah continues to represent a number of artists and companies in a freelance capacity, whilst also instigating new productions and co-productions under the name Scottish Theatre Producers. 

 

Helen McIntosh

Helen is an independent producer, specialising in dance, based in Edinburgh. With 10 years’ experience of producing international festivals, national and international tours, one-off events and performances and supporting artist development. Areas of expertise include planning & delivery of complex projects, creative producing, strategic planning, financial management and access & inclusion. 

Helen is currently working with a number of independent dance artists on projects of varying scales, including Shotput, Lucy Suggate, Charlotte Mclean and Rob Heaslip. 

Previously working with organisations including: Imaginate, Dance Base, Scottish Dance Theatre, Stellar Quines, Edinburgh International Film Festival and Traverse Theatre. 

Helen has been Associate Producer at Scottish Theatre Producers since 2019.

 

Tanya McLaughlin

Tanya has worked in theatre and the arts since 2013. Her previous roles include house management at An Grianán Theatre, Festival Manager for the Disappear Here Film Festival, and freelance Stage Manager. She was Engagement Manager for the Autumn 2024 Scottish tour of Treasure Island and Assistant Producer on Tenterhooks’ production of Hercules in October 2024. She collaborated with Greg Sinclair and Imaginate to create digital resources for the upcoming production of Tongue Twister. Tanya is a qualified Primary School Teacher focused on connecting education and the arts, particularly for young audiences. She has also worked with Imaginate, Independent Arts Projects, and Catherine Wheels to develop engagement resources for children, schools and families.

Tanya’s skills include scheduling, budget management, audience engagement, and communication. Her work focuses on creating meaningful and accessible arts experiences.

Tanya joined Scottish Theatre Producers as an Assistant Producer in 2025 following a 2024 FST Bursary Placement.
