Rocket POst!
July, 1934. The Western Isles. Excitement runs through the crowd. They are watching scientist and dreamer, Gerhard Zucker, who is about to change the world! The future is communication, the future is... ROCKET POST!
A Rocket full of letters is packed and ready to fly across the sea to the Isle of Harris. The fuse is lit, the rocket lifts up into the sky and then.... explodes.
A joyful mix of songs, storytelling and exciting visuals for everyone aged six and over. Rocket Post is a tale of miscommunication and the magical discoveries that can happen when everything goes wrong.
“A fantastic action packed, fun filled, family friendly theatre production... Rocket Post! will blow your mind, and take you to the moon and back.” Dumfries and Galloway What's Going on review
"The smallest members are awe-struck at the storytelling and stage craft, and the writing is highly amusing and has a cleverness that has much to be appreciated by the adults... Utterly, utterly charming.'" Glasgow Theatre Blog
"a stellar trio leading the performance from conception to finale" Corr Blimey review
Audience feedback:
'Wonderful, whimsical, entertaining, witty and engaging storytelling for all ages! Loved the set design - so clever and creative. Our 8 year old hasn't stopped talking about it since we got home'

About Ailie and Lewis
Ailie and Lewis met one snowy winter in the North of Scotland, some years ago… They soon bonded over a love of creating theatre that uses objects, puppets and pictures to tell beautiful original stories which engage with the world we live in, and are full of heart, fun and magic.
They make work which is an invitation into fantastic and colourful story worlds which celebrate the extraordinary nature of the ordinary. Combining minimal, poetic text, a sumptuous, handcrafted aesthetic and engaging characters they make work which lasts long in the imagination and memories of those who see it.
Together they have created 'Cloud Man' and 'The Secret Life of Suitcases'. Both productions have been presented as part of the Made in Scotland showcase. Their work has travelled all over the world, delighting audiences in China, Dubai, Japan, America, Australia and extensively throughout the in the UK.
